So, I read about this guy today while aimlessly droning on Stumbleupon…
This man right here in this bed was homeless and had attracted lung cancer. He had a dog, and was separated going into treatment; the dog, as expected, went to a shelter and was adopted by a loving family.
The lung cancer took this man over, and through his entire living hell, all he asked for was his dog. When doctors could do nothing else, they decided to move him to a hospice house to die. A nurse there taking care of him acknowledged his request, and was able to get the dog through some means (I don’t know if she owned him, or knew the family..I forget. Don’t lose sources, guys.)
This man’s dog and him were reunited for the next few days, and then the man died, soul content with the comfort and love of his dog.

A picture is worth a thousand words. A dying man holding his best friend. He lived homeless in Iowa with his dog in a car. When he became terminally ill and placed in hospice, his only request was to hold his dog one last time before passing on. Two souls quietly saying their goodbyes.
